Aishwarya Rai Bachchan not in visitor catalogue: The inaugural ceremony of World Kannada Meet is likely to lose some glitter with the name of Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan not figuring in the extended list of guests released by chief minister B S Yeddyurappa here on Thursday.
"We have decided not to include the Bollywood star in the opening ceremony as it is likely to give undue importance to one individual than the event," said an organizer. The names of cricketers G R Vishwanth, Syed Kirmani, Anil Kumble and J Srinath, besides other sportspersons Aswini Nachappa and CWG medal winner Aswini Shetty figure in the list. Yesteryear Sandalwood stars Ambarish, B Sarojadevi, Jayanthi and Bharti Vishnuvardhan are also included.
