Two of Bollywood’s beauty queens were born today, November 19 – Zeenat Aman (1951) and Sushmita Sen (1975). While the two tinseltown beauties seem to be almost two decades apart, we can easily draw parallels between their lives and working styles. For example, both actors have portrayed strong personalities and fit quite well into women-centric roles.Zeenat Aman dominated the Bollywood industry in the ’70s. She began her career by being a reporter with Femina and then went on to work in ad campaigns. She was the second runner-up at the Miss India contest in 1970 and won the Miss Asia Pacific title. Zeenat was probably the hottest item girl of her times.
Her last role as the female lead was in a movie called Gawahi in 1989. As for Sushmita Sen, her filmy career began after she won the Miss Universe beauty pageant in 1994. She stepped into Bollywood with her first movie Dastak. Another parallel we would like to draw is that it’s difficlut to spot both the beauties onscreen nowadays. Also, while Zeenat created ripples due to her skin show, Sushmita is remembered for her long list of men.
