Richa Gangopadhyay, the smart girl that she is, has opted out 'Shortcut Romeo', the Bollywood remake of 'Thiruttu Payale' which was all set to be her Bollywood debut. Richa couldn't provide the dates that were required for 'Shortcut Romeo', due to prior commitment for a Telugu film.
It was earlier reported that Richa will be debuting in 'Shortcut Romeo', reprising the role of Sonia Aggarwal's from the original. Reliable sources now tell us that both the teams (Telugu project and Shortcut Romeo) sat together but since director Susiganesan wanted a chunk of Richa's dates, of about 45 days at a go, it wasn't feasible and Richa opted out of the project.
The sportive actress has taken it well and has expressed that she will soon work with Susiganesan. Richa who made a debut in Tamil cinema as Yamini in 'Mayakkam Enna' has smitten one and all with her performance which is on par with Dhanush's in the film. The transformation from a modern girl to that of a supportive housewife has been beautifully portrayed by Richa.
We'll have to wait to know if she will continue to woo the hearts of Tamil film patrons in her next, 'Osthi' where she plays a character which is entirely different.
