Terming Saif Ali Khan and herself as “urban and contemporary thinking people” with their own spaces who do not even discuss work, Kareena Kapoor, filmland’s Numero Uno heroine, has taken a very sound and sensible decision that she will keep working even after their marriage, planned for later this year after the release of their film “Agent Vinod,” produced by Saif’s home banner of Illuminati Films, which is releasing in March.

Most heroines, from Saira Banu from the ‘60s to Kareena’s elder sister Karisma, make a comeback, for one film or more at some point. The only prominent exceptions so far have been Sadhana and Vyjayantimala.
The couple that has been dating for five years has so far worked together in “Kurbaan” besides giving the voiceovers for the animation film “Roadside Romeo.” They have been in the cast of “LOC Kargil” and “Omkara” but have not been cast romantically.
Terming Saif as the “most supportive man” ever, Kareena told Bombay Times that he “probably comes to know of the movies I am doing from newspapers and magazines.”“Work is my passion!” says the actress, who has the distinction of being the first female actor to get a share in the profits of a film, which she has begun from her latest assignment, “Heroine.”
It may be recalled that she was Madhur Bhandarkar’s original choice for this film, but date problems had led him to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. After Ash’s pregnancy made her quit the film, Kareena walked in.
Kareena Kapoor will be the first Kapoor girl to continue working post-marriage after Geeta Bali, who was a bahu, not someone from the clan. Besides being today’s highest-paid female star at Rs. 100 million plus profits, she is the only actress to feature in four of the nine Rs. 1 billion-plus grossing films so far – “3 Idiots,” “Golmaal 3,” “Bodyguard” and “RA.One,” all as solo heroine. This is a higher score than any of the heroes.
